We move our cows frequently to fresh grass and supplement their diets with non-GMO feed in some seasons to ensure that our cows to have a well-balanced diet all year. Pastured Chicken
Most chickens never set foot on grass. Our chickens are moved to fresh grass everyday! Housed in Salatin-style shelters, our chickens experience the benefits of fresh air, sunlight, shade, and predator protection. This type of management not only results in a happier, healthier, and tastier chicken, the movement of these shelters also contributes to the fertility of the fields, producing more quality forage for our cows. Win, win, win.
Pastured Pork
Most pigs spend their entire lives on concrete. Pigs were created to dig and root, so we try to raise our pigs in an environment where they are free to do that. A lot of our farm is wooded and not great for cows and chickens, but it’s ideal for raising pigs! We use electric wire to strategically move our pigs through the woods and brushy areas and let them clean it up for us. To ensure their dietary needs are met, we supplement their diet with non-GMO feed. This is what real pork is supposed to taste like.
